solid top cooktop

Had coil cooktop before and this ceramic top isn't any comparison, slower to heat and very difficult to clean! Wish I would have stuck with coil burners.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi - Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your new GE cooktop. We are sorry to hear you are not pleased with the operation of the burners and find the cooktop difficult to clean.
For best cleaning results, clean up any spills as soon as the cooktop has cooled off enough to do so. Baked on spills are much more difficult to remove. For our cleaning recommendations please see Page 16 of the Owner's Manual:

A Quiet Stovetop Power

I wasn’t used to having such a quiet stove. I thought I should hear a hum of a fan, but it was so quiet, I had to remind myself that the stove was on. I like the “power boil” setting, as it heats so quickly.
