Fondness for Flat-Tops

It takes a little getting used to going from electric coil to flat top. I wish they could mark around the burner (6", 8", 10", ++) to help center the pan. Clean-up in nice. No more smelly burners. I'm still getting used to using a razor blade on the glass for baked on spills. We'll see what it looks like in a years time.

Seems the low temp settings keep things hotter than wanted after heating up on higher settings. Not sure if this is the pan construction or the settings temp profile. But to cool down the heat during cooking I have to reduce the temp to the lowest setting (i.e. medium to lowest setting)

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Getting a new cooktop can be an exciting experience, but we understand that there can sometimes be a learning curve associated with new appliances. When using the burners on your electric range or cooktop, you may find that the burner still remains hot when turning the burner from a higher temperature setting to a lower setting. The result is that what you are cooking remains bubbling or boiling for some time, even after going to a lower setting. This is normal with radiant burners, especially on the Power Boil elements. This happens because the glass cooking surface retains heat, taking longer to start cooling off. The cookware you’re using also gets very hot from both the burner and the hot food or liquid inside, and the food stays hot because of the heat from the glass transferring to the pan.

I’m actually disappointed with my cooktop, all cooktops do not heat up to the capacity.
Hard to clean.
My previous cooktop was a generic brand and has been a better cooktop that I had for over 18+ years!
It was a waste of money and installation cost.

I like the color, the control knobs on the right side of the stovetop...but
I wish one of the burners were larger to accommadate my 10 in soup pot and skillet, which I use quite often , and only need one small burner instead of two small.
