Hate it that it stays hot.

We were told that the surface of the cooktop was instant cool. When you turned it off it was immediately cool. It is NOT. Very disappointed! Feel like we were mislead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We hate to hear that you’ve been less than impressed with the heat retention of your new cooktop, and that you feel you were misled. This model is a radiant cooktop, and uses burners set beneath a glass surface to heat your cookware. The glass surface will stay hot for some time after use, and we do not recommend touching the surface.

It's a great cooktop.

I like the two large cooking elements set at a diagonal from each other. The quick boil feature is great to boil water to cook pasta. The cooktop cleans easily, even when things are spilled.
If only the cooktop could make me a better cook!

Temperature control broken

Just moved into a new home and started using the stove. Two burners are either on 100% or off. The feature that allows temperature control is broken which can be detrimental to pans. This stove is under 10 years old so the stove should still be working fine. Will make sure to stray away from any GE products.

We love our new GE glass cooktop. We have a GE washer and dish washer and we love the. The cooktop as just delivered today. We can’t wait to use it. It looks great in our kitchen.
