GE Electric cooktop

Just replaced my Whirlpool cooktop because it busted one day while frying pork chops, but the stovetop was built in when house was purchased, I can't complain because it was 13 years old, I really like the white on white and I will never own another stove with regular wire eyes, easy to clean

So far so good... installed 2 months ago and is working great. Power boil feature works well, the stove heats up incredibly quickly. Cleaning is easy with the included cleaner (wipes also available in stores by the same brand).
I would recommend this to a friend!

First impressions...cheaply made & erroneous specs

Online PDF install instructions have erroneous dimensions and unit arrived missing vital installation hardware...replaced an eight year old Frigidaire white ceramic cooktop that was pretty beat up from teenager's use...so far not too impressed, although it is faster to heat than the old one... it is sure prone to fingerprints and smudges but the black was two-thirds the cost of white... inexplicable but of course GE would cite economies of scale; sell more black, so it is cheaper...buyers be ware of the erroneous dimensions...sucker is overall smaller than specs state and it barely fit our opening... installation was straight forward and easy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
