Decent cooktop

After using this cooktop for five months I would have to say I have finally learned how to use it. I find it very touchy with heat levels. For instance if you want to boil a pot of something you have to put it on high or else it takes a very long time to come to a boil. Like but even the notch below, better be on high boil always. The low temps are also hard to judge.
Residue issues with surface even when using correct cleaning product and scrubbing devices.

We were replaced an old GE electric burner stovetop that was original from 1980. this new stovetop heats up incredibly fast. We already love the quick boils and it works well with our waterless cookware.

I do like this cooktop...it looks beautiful WHEN it is clean, but cleaning it is difficult...all my pans seem to leave marks - they come off but it takes work. I love the power boil selection and if I would learn to just use it for that, rather than trying to cook at that level, it would be fantastic. I know I am saying negatives, but I really do love the cook top and I just need to adjust to using it.

Like the pot boil

I bought this cooktop to replace a broken top that was in the home we purchased.
I would never buy the black cooktop again, it is a lot of work to shine every time I use the cooktop.
