This is the bottom line of cook top appliances. Minimal purchase should be the next step up with different dimensional burners.

We're quite happy with the Cooktop by GE and it was well packaged and a straight forward installation for our guys. Looks excellent and performs perfectly.

Replacement unit, prior GE cooktop cracked

My prior GE cooktop was approx 3 years old when the glass top broke. The replacement cost for the glass was more than purchasing an entire new stove. Glass broke due to poor quality and was out of warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
