great budget cooktop

I bought this almost a month ago, and already has a deep scratch. Could be more durable as we don't use it every night.

Great cooktop

I bought this smooth cook-top to replace and old coil cook top. It cleans up nicely and food cooks evenly.

Replaced old GE cooktop with this one

Replacing kitchen countertops and it seemed the perfect time to replace our old GE cooktop (coil burners circa 1965) with a new one. Sort of sad because it still worked perfectly! But now we have a nice shiny new one that works perfectly. I hope this one lasts 50 years like the last one did.

Nice top- only complaint is the cleanup to keep it looking new. Even being careful it is time consuming to keep clean.

Disappointing Lifespan

I bought this product in September of 2015 and its now April of 2018. Just over 2 years of use and now it trips my circuit breaker immediately. There's some type of electrical issue going on with it. I'm starting to see a pattern with GE products as of late...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
