I am very happy with this cooktop especially because when something spills over I don't have to remove the stove element and clean beneath it.

First time having a glass flattop stove. It is definitely different cooking on this top then my old coil stove and it’s harder to regulate the heat. Could be my cooking pans. Feels like it doesn’t maintain its temperature while cooking.

I had a GE cooktop previously for 17 years and the new GE cooktop has better features and cooking is much more even.

We noticed within the first month the right front burner would come on but we could not adjust the power setting at all.... it went straight to "power boil" no matter where we set the knob. So we were disappointed in manufacturing quality control let a defect like that get through and be shipped to a customer.
On the cosmetic side my wife does not care for thee glossy black surface because it shows every little streak or spot of grime.

GE Cooktop

The cooktop was installed yesterday, and I’ve used it several times already. I like the look of this model (color is black), and the burners work quite well, also. The installer left a small bottle of cleaner and ‘sponge’ to use on the cooktop, and recommended to clean the cooktop before using it. It looked very nice after I cleaned it - there were a lot of fingerprints/smudges on it from the installation, but the cleaner took it all away. The manual included the cleaning directions, as well as other tips such as not sliding pots or pans across the surface (it’s scratch resistant, not scratch proof), and use flat-bottom pots/pans rather than ones with curved bottoms.
I would recommend this to a friend!
