It's a cooktop

When you turn the knob to the on position one of the burner will get hot. In our opinion that makes it better than our last one.

Good replacement

We had an older model GE that was in our house when we bought it. My wife loves to cook and uses the cooktop almost non-stop. After over three and a half years of nearly non-stop use, it gave out. It was a 30” model. We replaced it with a JP3030SJSS. It arrived promptly after buying it online from a retailer. It installed perfectly into the space on the granite countertop where the previous cooktop was previously. Total installation was less than 20 minutes. Wife is happy with the new cooktop as am I.

We bought our home with an old style cook top stove with only two working burners, and after five years we decided to replace with this GE cook top. 3-4 weeks after install, the small front burner is out. I am disappointed as we have family from out of town visiting. I expected more years out of this top before experiencing any problems. Hopefully we will get the support we need.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this to replace a broken cook top with the same dimensions. It is a decent cook top - the burners are relatively small but consistent given the smaller size of the product. It was an affordable temporary solution until I can afford a higher quality and larger unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
