Just as advertised. Solid cooktop that looks good. Older model had larger circle for cooking area. This model has 2 power boil, keep warm, and melt

Stains easily

I am not happy with how easily and visibly the black glass top stains. I have tried many products, and had a little luck leaving a coating of baking soda mixed with water, overnight.
The slightest bit of steam off a pot stains it.

Scratches too easily

Love the way it looks and how it functions. Big issue is how it has already scrached.I have a similar range for 21 years and it never scratched. It did start to slow down and that is why I changed it. I also have a similar range is Florida and it is 12 years old and it has not scratches.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice surface layout

The layout of the burners allows for great use of the available cook space. Large and small pans are equally spaced.

Replaced the GE Cooktop with a GE . .

We had a GE COOKTOP and had no problems as it worked perfectly. I dropped a heavy bowl and well it cracked the top. So when we replaced it there was only one brand I
trusted. GE. We purchased a new one about 4 months ago and it fits and works great. Thanks GE for the great products at an affordable price!!

Happy with our cooktop.

This stovetop was a great deal. It was easy to install and matched the color scheme of our other appliances. My wife is much happier cooking on an electric cooktop than the gas grill she previously had. It’s easier to cook on and easier to clean.

Takes too long to warm up

The stove top takes too long to get hot. It doesn’t cook evenly and the burners are inconsistent

We recommend using medium or heavy-weight stainless steel or aluminum cookware. Nice cooktop! Easy to use

Love this cooktop! It is very easy to use. Stays warm for about 15 minutes after use. Cannot use cast iron skillets on it. Be sure to purchase the CeraBryte immediately as ours didn’t come with any as advertised.
