wonderful space saver

we have only had this a couple days we love it. but we have had ge products in the past. never had a problem. my parents had ge products they seem to have a long lifespan.

Black grease stains from dryer from day 1

I bought this product under duress for a vacation condo that we were renting out. it washes and dries very well. Fits in small space. Love the automatic sensor for filling wash. Down side is that ALL of my sheets and pillow cases have gotten black line grease stains in random locations. Don’t notice on clothing, just sheets. I thought maybe it was a “new dryer” problem and the grease stains would stop but after almost 2 years, they are just as bad. I think the drum seal is defective and always was. I will try to have this looked At, but darn, it’s probably not under warranty. We are just not here all the time to monitor the problems since it’s a vacation place, otherwise I would have complained sooner
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2017 GE Laundry Center Stacked

What a nightmare. I had to have a repair within the first year. It has been stopping mid cycle for no apparent reason since it was a year old. Push the button and it continues through the cycle. Now it won't spin. 2 person household and normal amount of laundry. My last washer lasted 15 years and I gave it to my kid who is still using it 4 years later. $1300 and this one lasted 2 years?????? Ridiculous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dryer dissatisfaction

This dryer grabs items above the door and doesn’t release until pulled out, usually takes a very hard jerk. Item stays put and burns or rips the item. My bad for putting up with it. Too late for repair or replacement. Unit purchased because of it’s size.

As clothes tumble, they make contact with several components around the door; however, clothes (and fabric softener sheets) should not get caught on the lint filter, sensor rods, or under the edge of the drum. If this is occurring, you may see tears, holes, or snags in the items being dried, or you may see black marks on cuffs, collars, etc.

Black marks!

Stay away from this product! I have cleaned the washer several times and it is still leaving black marks on all of my sheats ruining them! I am so sad about this, please stay away from this product.

Good and sturdy machine

Pros- Sturdy, no rocking or banging when spinning, has agitator to get clothes clean better, has off button in case of drainage spill which is important with old pipes, works great. Cons- scale for auto wash makes funny noise when changing cycles whether or not using auto wash. Not an issue for most but noticeable when the machine is in the kitchen/dining room. I’ll live with it since it all works perfectly fine.
