It's a GE so I don't expect much.

Seems to be fine for it's intended purpose but GE quality has been suspect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought in Sept. 2015 to replace a 25 year old machine. We looked at many brands and price ranges and kept coming back to this machine. So far, we are happy with the quality of the wash and the dryer. It has preformed better than we had hoped and look forward to many, many successful loads of laundry.

I bought about a month ago. So very happy with this! Large loads. I only gave it a 4 as it is a bit loud compared to the older model and the dryer lid doesn't stay all the way open by itself. At first I was almost banging my head into it but now it seems to stay open just barely far enough. Additionally, like the older model, occassionally items do get caught in the dryer drum - a sock on the first load.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this combo unit 3 months ago and I am so pleased with all of the features. All combined my clothes are coming out beautifully clean and dried. I cannot think of one thing I would complain about. I still get amazed at how it will work to balance clothes when it gets off balance, if I just wait it will get there. I have only had to do it by hand one time. Very impressed and satisfied.
