Overall they do a good job.
Washer is very loud.
No buzzers indicating that wash or dry are complete.
This is only large unit that is shallow enough to fit in my space. Better units are too deep. Older GE units did not have this issue.

Our prayers were answered when my other one was going. I have a handicap and use my washer/dryer at least 2 to 3 times a week. I had to go to the laundramat to do my laundry. This fit the price and we had some help with getting it. So I highly recommend this set to anyone. It does the job better than my other one. Which we had for 14 years. So we got a lot of good use out of it even before my illness.

This was an excellent replacement for our 18 year old stack unit it replaced. Had to have the water shutoff valve replaced right away (warranty covered completely) but has worked beautifully since. Much roomier in washer and dryer than one would think!

Confined Space

I was looking for a top loading washer which would fit into a very confined space in my condo. This was the largest top loading washer and dyer combo that would fit. I am very pleased with it. As the space was so tight I spent some time on the internet reviewing installation drawings and dimensions from different manufacturers. I was especially concerned about the dryer vent / hose as the depth of the unit was critical dimension. The dimensions were correct and the unit fit but the diagrams on the GE webpage were schematic and didn't reflect the actual configuration of the unit.

Does a great job washing and drying clothes but the washer is crazy noisy.
