This laundry set fits our needs well. We replaced full sized side-by-side machines and shelves on the wall above them with this stacked set and a folding table/base cabinet beside it. So far we like it just fine and hope it lasts a long time. The ergonomics of this set work better for my wife since she no longer has to bend down low to take clothes out of a dryer; she can reach up better than she can reach down..
Now for what you don't want to hear: We have a GE Profile 3-door refrigerator that we're terribly unhappy with. It's not particularly old but the mother board has been replaced and the ice maker has been replaced. The second time the ice maker quit we decided that the repair/replacement wasn't worth the cost and told the repairman to go away without spending any more money on it. Since the day it was new we have been unable to successfully regulate the refrigerator temperature. No matter where we set the thermostat it occasionally freezes produce. For what this thing cost it should still be functioning perfectly and never yet needed repairs.

Great for Small Spaces

I purchased a stacked unit because of the set-up of my laundry closet and the water heater. Overall, I've been pleased with the unit. I like the load sensing feature of the washer--it won't use more water than it needs to.

Purchased this for our beach home. Great size for towels, sheets, etc. I don't have to do 3 loads to only one now!! The problems I have with it is...noisy (can't do laundry at night. Don't want to disturb neighbors, family. My biggest recommendation for the manufacturer is to put a buzzer on it when the dryer is finished. I hate wrinkled clothes!!!

Extremely noisy

Just had this installed and did my first load. Considering stack units are primarily used in apartments and condominiums, I am highly disappointed in the noise and vibration the washer produces. The dryer seems comparable to the unit it replaced. Unfortunately, I found no decibel ratings for this unit online, anywhere, including the specs. They list it as quiet. Had I known, I would have never purchased it. If you are in a stand alone home and it sits on a concrete floor, it might be suitable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
