I bought 2 of these machines in 2015 and like user Linda below have had BOTH start leaking water due to a cracked tub during the same week. The quote to repair the machines is half the cost of the new machines. Clearly these were part of a defective batch and they should be recalled.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great compact washer and dryer

It's been two months since we purchased this unit so I waited to fill out the review to see how this washer and dryer would fulfill our needs. Much to our surprise it worked perfect for the two of us. Great purchase.

Self-Leveling Is A Complete Joke!

Cannot level this unit in the small space we have. The rear feet are supposed to be self-leveling. You adjust the front, tip forward, then ease it back on the rear feet. The reality is that they do something different every time you try it. The finished product is far from level. I don't know if it will run properly with it leaning back the way it does.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought it as a birthday gift for my self! Only drawback is the tub is so deep, if your arms are short, get a front loader.

Great Thus Far!

This machine has exceeded my expectations thus far! My gf and I travel weekly and come home with boat loads of laundry, which living in a condo, could typically be a nightmare. Not with this machine! It handles reasonably large loads for a stack-able laundry machine. The dryer is large and spacious and quite frankly does better than my last (competitor) stand alone washer/dryer from my old house. Looking forward to the continues success from GE appliances and hoping to add them to my kitchen remodel if they are as good as this machine. Would recommend to friend.

Great combination for small spaces

Has most of the features of full sized equipment, but needs audible signal when washing is finished and drying is finished
