I was told when purchasing the set that it had a buzzer to let me know when the load was finished but it does not. Since the product has a sensor to stop when clothes are dry it's a little inconvenient to keep having to check on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Washer/Dryer Combo

This combo works great and clothes definitely come out nice and clean and the dryer works well too. This is our second GE Washer/Dryer Combo that we have at two condo's that utilize a closet as the laundry room.

Fit our needs very well!

We bought this product several weeks ago and are very happy with the purchase! The operation is simple and control knobs are now in reach for my 5 foot 3 inch wife! Easy to install and the spacemaker design frees up extra space in our small laundry room. Washer performs well with an average noise level that works for us since our bedroom is a good distance away anyway. Dryer is very quiet and performs well. Only downside so far is my wife getting used to reaching over and bending more to get in and out of the dryer!

I have had the unit for a couple of months now so I have had lots of opportunities to use it over and over. The wash comes out very nice. Lot's of choices for size and type of loads. And same with the dryer...many options. And both the washer and the dryer portions are so quiet! I love that as it is nearby my family room. I had another brand before and it was noisy. This is virtually silent when I have the door closed. Wonderful! This is a great choice for me. Thanks GE!
