Big capacity, small footprint

Replaced my 12+ year-old laundry center that finally wore out. The GE allows you to set the water level with mechanical controls. If I could control wash times by turning a dial, I would have given it 5 stars. As it is, I'm making notes of how long wash settings such as Cotton, Delicate, Permanent Press, subset Heavy, Light, etc. run. Offers a spin only cycle. Toggle button for Pause and Start allows you to add things to the tub VERY quickly during agitation cycle Immediately stops and starts. Large dryer works well, user friendly controls.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wonderful Laundry Center

I bought this washer & dryer Laundry Center about a month ago and it is wonderful. It washes every thing no matter how small or large, California King sheets, large scatter rugs, and even large blankets. Washes great and never has it been off balance. Makes my wash day a breeze. Will recommend to anyone that need a stackable laundry center.

I've only had it for 2 weeks but just love it! I thought it was only going to be good for small washes but it fits every size. Nice and quiet too.

i love the unit, quiet washing quiet drying, easy to use large load size for both not puny. i am so excited to have this in my summer home after 25 years, thank god for it and just love it

i brought this item 3 months ago and the day I brought it home it has been giving problems. the washer doesn't rinse I've called once for someone to come out to fix it but for it to do the same thing proir to to the tech coming out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stackable new fave

Bought this because we were concerned about space, and the idea of having 1 thing instead of 2 was appealing. We were dubious about having a stackable unit at first, but we love it now! It is convenient having to simply move laundry up and down and having all of the controls in one place for both. The unit is quieter than normal units, probably due to the weight keeping it from moving around. It also cleans things AMAZINGLY! The spin cycle gets things dryer than any other washing machine I've used. It is also very fast. Under 30 minutes to wash and under an hour to dry most loads.
BEWARE: Do not overload. Do not mix washables, for instance, blankets and towels is a no, jeans and sheets is a no. Do things separately in smaller loads.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Some Issues

I bought this and after three uses I noticed the dryer was leaving black marks on my whites. Required service call and then required 8 day wait for part to be delivered and installed. In addition when I do an extra large load it only fills 2/3 full with water. Also machine is extremely loud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Average system -- dryer damages clothes

My parents have used this model without incident in the past which is why we decided to purchase it too. However, ever since we bought it, we've had trouble with the dryer. First, it doesn't dry the clothes all the way so we usually run it through the cycles twice. Second, it causes the strings on pants to get twisted up to a point where it damages the pants and other clothes. And third, we've already had GE maintenance come to fix the dryer because articles of clothing were getting stuck in the door where they would also be severely damaged.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
