This worked well with my Galaxy S6 and Iphone 6S Plus wearing thick Otterbox Defender cases where other mounts are just too narrow. My only concern is the release mechanism for the cradle grip since its feels not well made when releasing pressure off the ratchet mechanism and could cause early failure. But, so far it is still doing great and holding very strong.
