This is my second Epson Home Cinema projector. The first was outstanding in terms of stability and performance. This new one has much better brightness and more features such as 3D, built in speakers more connectivity to other devices. Also prices have reduced considerably as the popularity has grown. I hope for the same long term stability and performance as the first.

I have my projector mounted on the ceiling at 16 feet
with a 144 inch screen
the picture is clear with good color
the 3d works good has played all types I have tried
basic set up and focus was easy
the only complaint I would have is the cooling fan is noisy
but not a big deal
the price versus value will depend on how long it lasts
I have bad eyes so I love the big screen wish I had one 20 years ago

Bright is an UNDERSTATEMENT!

I had been looking to replace an older SharpVision 720p projector for some time. My theater room is a living room with a 8' doorwall, my throw distance was over 16; and I am using a 125"diag. painted screen, so I needed something with punch. Also due to recent remodeling I needed lense shift, the projector is more than 2' off center to the screen. I did my research and decided on the Home Cinema 3500. After opening the box and plugging everything in I was amazed, I now had a centered, BRIGHT, clear picture in full daylight! I am more than please with the 3500 display and looking forward to movie night!

Great projector with minor problem

When I got this reconditioned 3500 projector, my family and I were blown away by the color, brightness and clarity. I mostly left all settings alone as used as it came. After about 200 hr the auto iris warning came on. I immediately reset the projector and turned off the auto iris. I cannot tell any difference in the blacks with it off and now it doesn't make the annoying clicking sounds as the auto iris makes adjustments. I have had no other issues..so far. Beautiful picture especially in 3D such as Pandora 3D. My setup is basement theater which can be totally dark, white ceiling, white pull down 110" screen with projector 12' away on rear wall. I run on eco mode and it is amazingly bright with no fan sound. We watch from 8-10' away and are amazed at the picture quality. If it were not for the auto iris problem I would rate this 5 star.
