The Terminator

We have seen how Cameron's nightmare become our greatest festival. I personally think Cameron's recent carnival (Avatar) is an annoying nightmare to me.

As to this newest version of the Terminator, I just wish they could have waited and did it in 4k just like the remastered Robocop that is about to come out.

An original story line is what carries Terminator. As a whole the acting and writing are average at best doing the best that could be done cinematography wise with the tools and resources film and studios had at the time

It was filmed in Los Angeles, produced by Hemdale Film Corporation and distributed by Orion Pictures. Schwarzenegger plays the Terminator, a cyborg assassin sent back in time from the year 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, played by Hamilton, whose son will one day become a savior against machines in a post-apocalyptic future. Biehn plays Kyle Reese, a soldier from the future sent back in time to protect her.

The Endoarm is highly detailed, great dark chrome appearance, and an awesome display piece for the price. Even though it's light weight plastic, it looks like authentic metal. The display base and plastic tube are a nice touch, even though it's not quite exactly like in the movie. The arm itself seems to be slightly larger than 1:1 scale, but it is supposed to be Arnold's arm. So glad they finally released this after it was canceled last year. The price went up, but thanks to Amazon's low price guarantee, at some point between my pre-order and delivery, the price dropped near what it was last year. As for the 4K disc, I don't yet have a 4K player or TV, but I'm shopping for one now. Originally, they were supposed to include the 3D Bluray, but then it was only released in the UK. I was pretty excited about that, but since 3D TVs are pretty much over, hopefully VR takes off as a medium for watching 3D movies in the future. The 3D version in the theater was so much better than I anticipated. The 4K transfer includes some of the new enhancements made for the 3D theatrical release, which I guess is cool, except we need the proper T2 Extended Edition in 4K. Overall, my 5 stars are for the Endoarm and how awesome it is to finally have one that looks great and is affordable!

Missing Several Bonus Features of the Regular Dvd

I love this film, but I'm just not a huge fan of this Blue-Ray transfer, to me it doesn't seem all that great. Add in the fact that many of the bonus features (which graced the special edition dvd back in 2001) are missing here, really doesn't make this title worth the money. Die hard fans will want to try and get a hold of the now out-of-print special edition released back in 2001.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
