[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was in a home I purchased and I am very pleased with this refrigerator/freezer. It's probably the nicest one I have ever owned. The one thing I'm really happy with is the size of the freezer. I can store so much in it. It makes it simpler to plan meals at the last minute. The upper fridge is also very roomy and I love the fact that I can move the 2nd shelf back to make room for large pitchers of iced tea when my family comes to dinner. Also, if the door is mistakenly left open the chimes go off to remind me of that. Love it!

Great while it lasted

Purchased 4 years ago, linear compressor went out. Even though compressor is covered under warranty, the other parts they make you replace along with labor is the cost of a new fridge.

Purchased this just over 2 years and compressor has already stopped working. All the food has thawed out and I’m left without a fridge. Called LG and have to wait 12 days for technician to come out. Completely unacceptable. Trusted LG brand in the past—no more!!!!

Major Issues, Don't Buy

Condensor went after 4.5 yrs. Had to wait over 6 weeks, with 2 repair trips during pandemic, for any resolution. They got it working 2nd trip after replacing major parts, and now the doors to fridge won't shut tight anymore. What a waste of money and resources. Even the repair person told us they would not buy LG because they basically can't be fixed. Lost fridge full of groceries twice.

Horrible icemaker and no cold water

I bought this refrigerator because it look nice, had An ice maker, cold water dispenser and love the two drawer freezer look. The icemaker and cold water dispenser broke at about one year (water dispenser was tap water Temperature). Had it fixed which ended up being not only icemaker but motherboard. Broke again and they changed out the icemaker, worked for 4 days them stopped making ice (water would not freeze) and Water dispenser was tap water temperature again. Repair man came out again The ice maker and cold water dispenser worked for one day. Now they’re saying probably the motherboard which has already been changed out. The refrigerator is a beautiful refrigerator but don’t count on the ice maker or cold water out of the dispenser since neither are reliable whatsoever (and to have repaired is very expensive ) which is a very important feature for me.

5 years 7 months in and all cooling stopped workin

Do not buy this product, it will not last! Just over the 5 year warranty and whole cooling part goes out. Freezer went to 43 degrees and Fridge no longer cooling. I shouldn't have to replace a 5 year old fridge.

Nice features but some issues

Lot's to like about the refrigerator - the "door within a door" is awesome for frequently accessed items. The ice maker works well, can provide cubed or crushed ice. Like the vegetable and fruit drawers. That said we have needed repairs twice in five years (covered by LG, but we have lost some food each time) and the freezer struggles to maintain the needed temps - often find things thawing out even though we have set it as low as it can go.
