[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased in 2019. Five months after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the fridge and freezer both stopped cooling. It was 11 days from the day it went out until a technician could come fix. Love the fridge and freezer set-up and space. Very inconvenient to go 11 days without the fridge/ freezer.

This is the second refrigerator, same model, that I have purchased in the last 5 yrs. My first one was destroyed in a flood caused by hurricane Ian. I liked it so well, that my replacement was the same. It was what I wanted 5 yrs. ago, and I'm sure this one will work as well.

It looks great, fits the space perfectly, and holds plenty of food but we were disappointed by its longevity. LGs customer service was wonderful and we had the compressor replaced at no cost to us and it is working like new!
I bought the LG refrigerator a little less than five years ago. A few months ago the compressor failed. I was lucky to get it repaired while it was still under warranty. Apparently, the new LG refrigerators at that time did not have very good compressors. It is unfortunate to have a major appliance that would fail in that short a period of time.

I was charged for a compressor that LG was found guilty in a class action lawsuit. Why do I have to pay for a known issue. It was the model number & within the date range of those filed in the lawsuit. Yet, I was charged for the defective model. The serviceman even said that it was one of the compressors that would've been covered in the lawsuit. I will NEVER buy LG again. Charging someone for a part that they lost in a class action lawsuit is despicable. Never again.
