We've enjoyed this refrigerator for just under five years. Last year, I believe it was the evaporator drain line that froze up and every time it went through the defrost cycle water would leak out onto the floor. This year the compressor failed and we lost a lot of food; fortunately it was still under the five year warranty...by three months.
My refrig has accumulated thick ice in freezer and the upper part experienced non-normal low temperature that vegetables and fruits all got frozen, after talked with LG I unplug it for 1 day then re-plug back, it did solve my problem.

I have used this refrigerator/freezer for 7 years. The shelves and movable, the drawers in both the freezer and refrigerator are very easy to remove for cleaning. The ice maker and cold water dispensers on the outside help with efficiency. I recently had a very large spill inside of my appliance and it was easy to clean up. The electronics were not functioning properly and the repairman had it back to running in 15 minutes. Plug in components make repair easy. I would definitely purchase another LG unit if ever I have to replace this one. For the money, this is a best buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our LG 27 CU. FT. FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR exactly 6 years ago today. It has provided great service during that time. We now have a problem with excessive frost build up in the 2 freezer compartments. It seems to be coming from the bottom door seal.

We bought this fridge years ago. Then the compresser failed just outside warranty. This was an issue with all the fridges made from 2011 to i believe 2017 or so, cant remember exact dates. There was even a class action lawsuit about it that we were never told about. So very upsetting that we had to pay lg again for a fridge with a known issue and they never informed us of the lawsuit against then for this very issue
