Worse refrigerator you can buy and not cheap

Bought this in Feb. Of 17, year later compressor is gone under warranty but lg won't pay labor. 450.00 and now 6 months later new compressor is shot. Now looking at another 450.00 which means I'll have 900.00 over the 2500.00 I payed for it. Could buy another for repair Bill and lg keeps selling junk and not paying to fix there junk!!
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not cooling, seems to get worse with each repair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge and recently it has had a cooling issue. It has only gotten worse with each repair. Today the fridge is reading 50 degrees, when it's set to be at 34 degrees.

Money thrown away. Lasted 5 years.

We've had this fridge for about 5 years, and I don't have any good things to say about it outside of storage space. The compressor went out within the first 2 years. Luckily we had a warranty on it, but that was a 2 month process to get fixed, which cost us over $300 lost in food, and another $700 to buy a smaller refrigerator to use in that time. Fast forward 2 years which is now, and we noticed the ice maker not producing ice. 2 days later I nogtice the freezer not cooling, and now of course the refrigerator is going out again. Most likely the compressor is my guess, but now with wasted food, my wife and i decided we are tired of throwing away money on this thing, and moving on from it. I'll just take it as a loss. My advice is to NEVER purchase this, and I would never recommend to anyone.

Great refrigerator

I have had this refrigerator for a month now. Everything works great and it is very quiet. The ice maker and water dispenser work perfectly. I really like the french door design: the freezer drawer is much easier to organize than a standard bottom freezer with a door, especially with the shelf in the freezer. The ice maker in the door doesn't take up valuable shelf space like other refrigerators I looked at.
The one thing that was unusual was the crisper drawers don't have any way to set the humidity level. This hasn't been a problem, but it was different than other refrigerators that I've owned and looked at.

I would recommend this to a friend!

I enjoy the great features of this refrigerator. I enjoy the french doors and the large gallon shelves on the door. This does help to make simpler for me because I do lots of entertaining and the refrigerator provides the extra space I need. The freezer is actually much bigger than expected and also allows the extra space needed for men

Great fridge with useful features

We love this beautiful fridge. First, it is very sharp looking. Yes, you have to worry about fingerprints, but they are easy to clean and even with them that a fridge looks great.
I love the setup of the water and ice. My four year old is capable of getting himself a glass of ice water (or sometimes just ice). At night the light comes on a little before the water, so you can position your glass without turning on a light.
It has plenty of capacity for our uses. We are a three person household that is not afraid to eat leftovers. We have yet to run out of space in the fridge or freezer.
Finally, the fresh air filter has worked like a charm. We have not had to leave baking soda in the fridge, it just keeps smelling nice on its own.

My new LG Refrigerator/Freezer is beautiful design

I have only had the refrigerator for 3 weeks, so can't review as long term.. but the on the short term, very stylish! I love the design of refrigerator - 2 door on top with a huge freezer drawer with lots of compartments for all shapes and sizes for my freezer items... A delightful feature is there are 2 spouts on the top door - one for Ice (your choice of cube or crushed) and a separate spout for water..Plus the water spout can now handle a large pitcher to fill if needed..
I am very pleased with the size, how it holds my food in refrig and freezer...
