[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator because we liked the water spout on the door, but almost everything about it has been unreliable. In 5 years it has stopped cooling twice, the fan makes an incredibly loud ticking noise, and the ice has built up everywhere in the fridge. LG fixed once but the hassle is not worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator about 4yrs ago and have had nothing but problems from day 1 and this wasn't a cheap refrigerator either I know that I'll probably have to replace this refrigerator and since I did not get the extended warranty (because I was talked out of it) I know it will NOT be an LG product.

The main reason was the ice maker is inside the door so you do not see it and it does not take up all your freezer space. I LOVE that feature. I saw that and then started looking at the other matching appliances. I knew I had to have that refrigerator though.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1) The compressor went out in less than 3 years. 2) The water dispenser area is a design disaster. There is no depth to place a large glass, let alone a coffee carafe, and when dispensing water in anything with a shallow depth (e.g., Dog water bowl), the water sprays everywhere, 3) The plastic ledge, visible when both refrigerator doors are open, cannot withstand the drop in of even a medium-sized plastic jar of peanut butter. It cracked easily. 4) the pull out drawers of the freezer do not flex at all. I had to replace the metal bracket on the crisper drawer, and it still doesn't retract and pull out easily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Its features are amazing, such as pull-out drawers, lots of shelve space which is adjustable, lots of door side compartments, and a really big freezer! My only problem is that after 5 years it has broken, but it looks like it is able to be fixed.
