something it used to work!!!

I've had my speaker since September. For the first couple of months it worked perfectly. However, after that it started acting super weird! For example, I would fully charge it and suddenly it would lose all it battery! Or it would get disconnected and then connected and again disconnected by itself. And now, I can't even control the volume by my phone anymore so every time I want to change the volume I have to walk to it and do it with buttons on the speaker. I just didnt expect all these problems from Bose's speaker!!!

To reset the system, simply connect the power supply, turn the speaker on, press and hold the AUX and Volume - buttons for 10-20 seconds, until a tone is heard. Turn the speaker on and allow your device to reconnect. If after doing so the issue persists, please contact our technical support team at 1-800-379-2073 for help. Support hours are Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 9:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 7:00PM EST.

No longer charges

I bought this speaker a year ago and have loved it but the connector from the charging cable is broken so I can't charge it.

This is a Great sounding speaker, but...

I bought this in Oct. 2015, and used it a couple of times, and I really loved it.But now when I tried to use it, it had to be charged and I expected that. But the battery will show charged but will only work for about 5 minutes. That is not what I would expect from Bose...

Hello Bruce,

We'd be disappointed too. This is not the experience one should expect from a Bose or any other speaker. The issue you've described may be easily resolved by rebooting the processor.
To do so, please connect the speaker to power
Press and hold the Play/Pause button for at least 15 seconds
While continuing to hold Play/Pause, unplug from power
Release Play/Pause

Putting the system into ship mode reboots the processor, but does not erase any settings, like language selection or paired Bluetooth devices. Reconnecting the power takes the system out of shipping mode and allows it to work properly.

You might also connect to updates.Bose.com/SoundLinkColor to be certain you're running the most recent software. After doing so, if the issue persists, please contact our technical service team at 800-379-2073 for help. Support hours are Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 9:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 7:00PM EST.

I recieved for Christmas .;.; it is good .; needs a bit more volume for my taste , so i will take away a star for volume .also to many buttons should be simpler .; and no mic i dont think?....it is not a killer product .

Awful

Have had this for about 6 months. The power charger is terrible. The plug is very flimsy and never gave a tight fit to the unit. It has always been a nightmare to charge. The cord would have to be in a certain position for the charger to make a connection and the power battery to turn green. Now, it won't turn green and charge at all. So, now without a being able to charge power, my Bose sound Link Color is absolutely useless to me...

Great speaker BUT it does NOT work with Phone Call

I just got this speaker as an X-Mas gift. I am using it with an iPhone 6s. It has absolutely great sound when using it to play music.
BUT this unit does NOT work with phone calls. When I receive or make a call, the music pauses, but I have to use the iPhone's internal speaker for the call. Switching the call to speaker phone uses the iPhone's internal speaker phone function.
This is STUPID! Expected MUCH better from a company like BOSE.

Disappointed

I bought this speaker a few months ago for my classroom of 4 year olds. It was great! I was able to play kids music and it was a fun color and I could be easily carry it home with me. I recommended it to my coworker who also purchased on and my dad as mom well. After I started reccomending, it quit working. Won't charge, won't turn on, nothing. I replaced the charging cable, that didn't help. I took it back to the store who replaced it since it was within a certain amount of time. Sure enough, the same thing happened with the next one I purchased. I keep the speaker on a shelf where none of my students could have tampered with it. I'm upset because I have always thought highly of Bose products. I am only a preschool teacher and can't afford to purchase another Bluetooth speaker for my students.
