Very disappointed

We bought this in November. We loved the sound, very full and resonant. But several days ago the battery completely stopped holding a charge. We find it only works when plugged into the act outlet.

Sounds great, can't turn it on while on battery

Really? Speaker was off for 1 hour. Software is "up to date," according to the Updater. You should still be able to simply power the device on if the battery has a charge by pressing the Power Button. If it doesn't, THEN, you connect it to charge it and power the device on. Come on, Bose, you can do better than this. It sounds great for its size, but the convenience of the battery is totally lost if you have to keep running back to the charger to get the device to come on after going into standby. Added frustration of not being able to leave feedback in comments section of Support.

To do so, let's connect the speaker to power, then press and hold the Play/Pause button for at least 15 seconds. While continuing to hold Play/Pause, unplug from power, then release Play/Pause. Once you reconnect the power, the speaker should be working properly.

Great sound for size and price but randomly broke?

Bought the speaker in August of 2015. The speaker has worked great until last week when it randomly stopped working. Originally I thought it died and maybe my charger broke, but Ive tried it with multiple different chargers and still nothing. Major bummer.

Wont turn on!

My great little Color Bose Speaker will not turn on! It worked fine the other day and now it will not respond in any way. Acts like its dead. Too expensive to just throw out!!! Help please!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the SoundLink Color. We can definitely help you with this. Often, a simple reboot is all that is needed. To do so, please connect the speaker to power, then press and hold the Play/Pause button for at least 15 seconds. While continuing to hold Play/Pause, unplug from power, and release Play/Pause
Plugging the system in will reboot the processor and your speaker will be working properly.

I got my speaker not too long ago and the charger broke unfortunately but I figured oh I'll just use an android one but of course it didn't work and I tried different ones and none of them worked...and I'm sure they were compatible

Disappointed

I bought this item in August . From day one the charger wouldn't hold a snug fit . I would of returned it had I not purchased it from out of town while on vacation . Today I tried to charge it and it will not charge . The sound is very nice and it's easy pairing with my iPhone but now it will not turn on due to no battery power.

There are a few simple troubleshooting steps that you can try to resolve this issue. Let's begin with a reboot, accomplished by connecting the speaker to power, pressing and holding the Play/Pause button for at least 15 seconds, then while continuing to hold Play/Pause, unplug from power. Release Play/Pause then reconnect the power. The speaker should be working properly.

Extremely disappointing

I bought this about two months ago. At first I was very happy with it. But after about two weeks the battery started to randomly die. It had charging issues, and then paring issues. Now the battery almost instantly dies and won't charge. I can only run it if it's plugged into the wall. Which totally defeats the point of a portable speaker and makes it useless to me. I expected better quality from Bose. I am extremely disappointed.

Not too good.

Bought it several months ago, had problems pairing after a month or two. Had to keep turning off and on to get it to recognize my cell phone. Now it will not even turn on, had it on charger over night. DEAD. Not happy. Bose used to have great products, but now is caught up in pumping out new products, forgetting about quality in design and manufacture and probably selection of internal components. When it worked it had pretty good sound.
Since it is no longer useable it gets a 1 star.
