Debating b/w buying an off brand and this one. I don't know about the off brand, but didn't want to risk leaking or poor filtering. This one did not disappoint. Installed quickly and works perfectly.

I always prefer to get the manufacturers original filter instead of a knock off. This was easy to order, came timely and fit just right

Design flaw

Replaced GE blue label GSWF with GE purple label GSWF. Purple label GSWF hole is narrower and will not allow water to flow. Tried two new filters. When will GE recall purple label filters and correct this mistake?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We change our water filter every 6 months & have had good success ordering through GE. If we have a problem they have been great to work with.
