I bought this a month ago and still haven't installed it because the I can't get the old one out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's not cheap but it works well and is easy to install. Refrigerator design allows filter to be optional, removed and not used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using this filter since I bought my GE Profile in 2008. Sometimes it is hard to,get out...but needs muscle.
