I really can't say anything good or indifferent about this item. After I got my monitor and was ready to hook it up, I realized I didn't need it after all. However, I'm absolutely certain that it worked perfect should you need the adapter.

I tried connecting an older monitor to my laptop. The male dvi port on the adapter does not fit in my laptop port. This adapter has some extra pins that does not work with my set up.
