Have only had this up and running for about 2 weeks, so far it appears to be a great unit, haven't tried the FAX yet but the scan, copy and document print work well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had this about a month, the only negative issue I have is with the fax, I forgot to add the 1 on a long distance fax and each time I tried again with the correct number it kept failing. I then realized it was going back to the original number. I had to delete the original and start over. I didn't realize the machine automatically saved numbers into contacts.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just purchased this and set it up. I was able to download the driver, set up the printer, and it printed me a document in under 40 mins. Very happy!

Poor all around. 4.5 hr installation, crashes under XP Pro

2 hours just to get setup done, BEFORE even installing software.
Every time you setup something, if you don't print the page, it just does all the setup all over again, and again, and again, until you give up, waste the ink and paper and print whatever report it is, even though, on screen it already tells you everything is ok so there is no need to print it!
Then installing the software under Windows XP PRo which it claims to be compatible with, after installing everything and it moves to the "setup" stage, ENEasyAPP.exe crashes. You have to re-install from scratch, can can't pick up where you left off, then it crashes again, over and over. Epson support website has NOTHING in this, but the internet does. It claims virus, bad registry, etc, and I have NONE of those things. Finally ran a repair program and got it working.
Total installation time - 4.5 hours - from somebody with over 30 years systems support, building etc experience~!
Also most importantly printer won't even get past initial testing phase without installing all the colour cartridges! Had we known you couldn't just install the black, we would have kept our old HP printer rather than waste all the expensive colour ink which will do nothing but evaporate.
Also the stupid feed is on the back, so we can't even fit it where a normal printer that feeds from the front has always fit before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
