Very good printing text, clear, sharp

The printing of text is very good, very sharp. I haven't tried yet to print color photos.
Your documentation is terrible; needs a whole lot of work. Instructions even for printing, and especially for faxing, needs much work to be understandable and easy to use.

Low cost home machine for high volume use

My WF-2630 is a really good, low cost, all-in-one machine for home use. It prints fast and is very quiet. Setting up the wireless function was easy enough for a non-tech dummy like me to do. The only negative thing I found was the scanner is slow.

Impractical Review Writing Requestings
on December 15, 2014

I have only had the printer long enough to realize that setting it up on my network is somewhat difficult. Therefore until I have a chance to do more than verify that each functionality is in fact working, any review by me at this time would be lacking so to speak. So far I have printed a few items and occasionally I get a message on my printer that there is an issue with the printer, and a couple of those turned out that the printer did not like the selected paper setting - but when I confirmed the setting was correct it went ahead printed the item. There were a couple of times when I received the same message on my computer and then it turned out that the wrong printer was still selected in the application from which the item was to be printed. This message being so similar as to be considered identical, makes trouble shooting more difficult than it should be. Additionally I found that the installation instructions expected the end user to be more familiar with computer networking than I am. Hope this review, stops those pesky messages requesting me to provide a review when I only set this up day before yesterday, and that you realize that we the product users have a life beyond that of setting up your equipment.

The Epson WF-2630: perfect for home or office.
on April 26, 2015

I recently purchased the WF 2630, because I needed the features of a multi-functional printer for my home office. This model was perfect for three reasons: 1.- Fax capability, as well as copying docs, scanning and of course, printing. 2.- Something lightweight and compact for an already 'crowded' desk, and 3.- A durable printer with dependability backed by a good name, yet not too pricey. The WF 2630 was a breeze to setup from the install CD, with the provided assurance of the backup install software provided online at Epson.com.-should you loose the install CD or simply not have one. The print speed is lightning fast, with vividly bright and clean colors, fueled by 4 individual ink cartridges that last much longer than any of the other conventional ink tanks I've had experienced and much more economical to replace. The Fax function is a no-brainer to install because it does it all automatically by scanning your router's wireless network configuration, and even has a feature that 'temporarily' disables and restores your PC firewall, to avoid the security issues that always stop most software installs. I like this printer because it has a compact, yet a sleek and smooth stylish design, molded in black to aesthetically blend in with most desktop hardware. The front operational panel shows well-spaced easy to see alpha-numeric keys for fax dialing, as well as separate buttons for features of 'pause/redial, contacts, stop/reset, two large START keys for both COLOR or BLACK & WHITE print, scanning or copying documents and.photos, which, by the way, are tantamount to Lazer quality! Finally, the EPSON WF-2630's front panel is embellished with a blue light next to the POWER key for no fumbles in the dark, and a 2 in .lighted LCD display complete with with easy to read step by step instructions to apply all operational features, a back button for reversing direction should you go a page too far, a key for HOME page to start all over, and buttons with directional arrows to toggle through instructions displayed. I didn't want to without mentioning how ecstatic I am over having the wireless capability in this Epson WF-2630, no more confinement to just my office for printing from my laptop.... just push a command button to print a doc. from anywhere in the house. I love this printer!

almost a 5 star but....

I have a 2540 series Epson printer (all-in-one) and I love it but we needed another printer/scanner for upstairs and purchased an WF-2630 series. I am not sure if there is any difference in them except a newer different model number. The mobile app is dependable when printing from IPad, IPhones and laptop. The mobile app has several features that increases our satisfaction regarding our Epson(s). There is a "capture" photo option which let's you edit hues. The app's scanning feature will email, print or save the doc to three different places such as iBook, a local folder Dropbox, etc. AWESOME! I just wish I could scan from my laptop without tethering to it, thus, the four stars. Maybe one can but I have tried everything and cannot. However, tell me how if I have missed something. We still really appreciate the convenience of our two Epson printers. Thank You, Epson.

Anytime I scan, The printer won't go back to printing unless I uninstall and reinstall the driver program. This printer wastes my time!

WORST PRINTER EVER!!!!!!
on January 12, 2015

The black ink gets light, NO option to darken it so what else would one do but try to replace the ink cartridge since it shows it is very low. When you open the top to replace the ink, the cartridges are hidden way to the right tucked under a plastic over, you can NOT get them to come out to change that cartridge. I googled and youtubed how to change these things and the only way to do it is via the setup screen, well there is no option in the set up screen. You can only change the cartridge from what I can see is when it is 100% empty which means you have very light light printing until then. The options on this printer are MINIMAL!!!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRINTER, I AM RETURNING IT AS IT HAS COST ME MUCH TIME!!!!

this is my seventh Epsom printer and by far my least favorite. I bought it mid way through a project because my other Epson finally gave up. it is slow, never could get it to go wireless, and it does not take commands well
