The directions for operation are unclear. I have been trying to change the ink cartridge, and the ink carriage is not accessible when the top is lifted.

Firmware update for initial setup
on April 20, 2016

Good news and bad news. Good news... I love my new all-in-one printer. The 220 Epson ink is inexpensive. Bad news...I just started the initial setup and the firmware update has consumed close to 50% of my black ink. I expected to buy new ink in about a month or so not tomorrow. The cartridges should have been XL to accommodate the initial update.

Never ever buy this piece of junk. Nothing but problems since I got it. Put your money toward a better printer. Can't wait to get rid of this one.

Autonomous All-in-One

My new WF-2630 prints and copies well enough. However, it seems to have a mind of its own. At times, I'll have it turned on, anticipating work to be done, and--without my touching anything--it'll start to make noises. I can't figure it out. I'm not even using it wirelessly. The WF-2630 chimes pleasantly when it starts up, but the whirring and other noises it makes without my prompting I find disturbing. I liked my old NX-100 Series printer/copier better, but the paper roller broke just after I installed new ink cartridges--and now, besides the unusable ink in the already recycled-as-E-waste printer, I'm stuck with several unopened packets of Epson 88 ink (1 each of yellow, magenta and cyan) I paid more than a pretty penny for. Anybody want to buy them? I dislike shrugging this kind of waste off and think there ought to be some compensation somewhere.

I like the quality of printing of the machine but it s EXTREMELY difficult to setup. I don't like I cannot scan fro and save on my laptop. Mly last Epson machine was much easier.. I will need it soon but wish it was more user friendly. I refse to pay my IT guy to come and give me a tutorial!

Great wifi printer for home use & low cost ink!
on June 3, 2015

Easy to use, simple wifi setup on home network even with a mix of laptops, workstations, hubs/switches and several versions of os. Ink is fairly low cost, reasonable print quality and all in one functionality that works pretty well for a low cost machine. My primary reason for buying this model was reliable networked built-in wifi and 'low' cost ink. Epson did their homework on this one. Needs bigger ink-wells with even lower cost ink - that would be my only complaint. We all know ink is like popcorn for printer companies - where they make all their margin...overall I'm pretty happy with it.

SLOW

This printer is extremely slow printing pictures and I specified that I printed a lot of pictures. It is very disgusting when you have to hit a key to go ahead on the printer every time you enter a picture for print (about 4 x 6 glossy).
