I am not very computer savvy, just know the basics. I've heard sad stories of serious difficulties installing new printers from friends more electronics-savvy than myself. It took me a while, but I was able to install the Epson WF-2650 successfully. Whew!

It was a snap 2 setup N I didn't have 2 really do anything other than click, so thank you Epson - I love my Epson wifi 2650

Great Home-Office Printer!

The WF-2650 fits my home office needs perfect and works great! Took me about 10 minutes to setup. I saw the WF-2540 for a lesser price, but the scan functionality is reportedly better on this one. And it is true! I keep the printer on so it doesn't go thru ink every time I turn it off and on. I am still trying to get the WIFI feature set up. Not as easy as I thought. But, the scan, copy and print functionality is fast. The options to print in standard, vivid or high quality is very simple and straight forward. I love the double-side (duplex) printing. It fits perfect on my desk, easy to use and looks really professional. Good job Epson!

Installation

This is a wonderful machine and I love it, but I am not a rocket scientist, so the installation was terrible. No easy way to do it. Had to call cable company for help. He was wonderful and had me up and running in no time. Would not recommend it for a beginner like me.

Beware of Difficult Installation

I've had Epson printers and loved them. I tried a different brand but came back to Epson this time; however, it took my son and myself at least eight tries to get this printer installed. We used the disk and attempted to set up the wireless without a USB cable. Only the fax would install. The regular printer application would not work. We even tried the online download and it still would not completely install. I ended up getting a USB cable (not supplied with the printer), hooking it up, and finally were able to install the printer completely. I hope it works better than it installed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The WF-2650 performs very well; provides clean, clear copies; scans accurately and efficiently. The principal issue I experience is the fairly rapid depletion of ink, the replacement of which becomes the most expensive aspect of maintaining this printer.
