Ink Cartridge replacement

I tried to change the black ink on the printer with Epson 220 Standard Capacity Black Ink cartridge, but the machine is telling me that ink cartridge is not recognized.

We bought this printer for the features, looked great in the store. Did not print right out of the box. After 5-6 ink head cleanings, the black ink is giving us a low level. Disappointed.

Needed a new printer

The scanner on my old Epson printer stopped working so it would not print either. I needed another printer right away and opted for the Workforce because I do a lot of printing and trust the Epson brand. I am looking for this printer to do much more than my old one. I loved the color photo quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice printer only thing I would change would be you have to scan to PDF would be nice to be able to scan to MS word

Printer has flaws

Lots of strange things happen with this printer. I was unable to use wifi with it ???comcast?? so have to connect with cable to use . The ink usage seems strange to me. I feel like I have put in fresh cartridges and then they are empty per the machine . seems too soon. Changing cartridges is strange feel like I will break machine should have a button to give auto access or just move into line when you open top. I press copy then instead of getting an immediate copy have to go through several dropdowns. Oh and its slow too. and windows 10 upgrade kicked me out.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Chews through ink at an astounding rate. Hard time communicating with Apple products. Constant problems with wireless connectivity. Chokes on .pdf files printed from the iMac and macbook.

sucks up ink

I have had this printer (wf-2650) for 3 mths. I just printed a "usage history sheet," which shows that 16 pages that had some color.
Right now all color cartridges show very low level of ink. I have printed 1,202 pages of B&W. To do that I have used 7 BW cartridges. All of them legal Epson products.
Top feeder jams very easily. I don't use the fax feature, limited use of scanner, but it has worked without any problems.
Printer was reasonably priced but ink cartridges have high cost per page, about 7 cents per page.

Operation of this unit is much more complicated (and difficult) compared to my Stylus 3810.
As soon as I figured out how to run the unit (although I think I don't really know how to do all the wonderful things it can do), I was surprised by the high quality and speed of the prints.
On balance, I'm quite satisfied.
