Epson WF-2650 review

We bought this printer about a month ago, and use it pretty frequently.
Overall this is a good printer. The quality of the print is fine, and it seems to be fairly reliable.
The things I didn't like were the setup and the cartridge for the paper. The setup instructions for wireless printing were very poor and confusing. I ended up calling support and they were able to walk me through the process. I ended up having to set it up using the IP address and messing with what was going on with my router. I tried using the cable, but there was something wrong with the jack on the printer (not the cable, since I had no problems with the connection on my old printer, and a brand new cable had the same problem).
The paper cartridge/tray is very flimsy and doesn't have a good stop on the back, which might cause jams in the future, since the instructions say don't let the paper hang out the back.
The printer is also kind of loud when it operates.
Otherwise I'm really very happy with it, and look forward to a 5-10 year relationship, like I had with my old printer.

I have had problems trying to do other things besides printing from the computer. It is difficult to do anything else. There is no manual to help you thru this.

I found that this printer is going to be just what I need for working at home; my only complaint is that Epson should go the extra mile to INCLUDE a user manual in the box. Printing out over 100 pages is inappropriate.

The WF-2650 a great easy to use All-in-One Printer, Fax, Scanner, Copier, WiFi device. It's reliable, ease of use, and low cost makes this an easy to own and proud to use printer. Vibrant colors, crystal clear and sharp printing. Well engineered with a smaller than standard space saving footprint. Go for and enjoy long satisfaction. This is my second Work Force printer. I gave the other one I purchased two years ago to my grandchildren. A lot of use and still like new. My expectations are positive and confident with this printer.

Envelope Printing

It is a pain to removed the paper tray, take out the paper, adjust the slides and put in an envelope. No function for multiple envelopes. I would not have purchased this machine had I known that. It is okay so far with the other functions. Disappointed.

Easy set up and easy use. These printers are disposable and are easy to uninstall and reinstall. This printer was a replacement of an older model and I swear by Epson. I repurchased a newer Epson and will never use aftermarket Ink because it messes the printer up after time. Always by new Epson ink not third party.

Epson is Excellent

I have owned 3 Epson's. The first was a simple printer XP-310 and the 2nd was similar to the first and was an XP-410. Now I own a Work Force WF-2650. Over all the Epson's are Excellent. They even allow for the use of the color cartridges to be used to mix and make the black ink when there is no longer any black ink. The 310 and 410 were very simple to use with out any complications and used Epson 200 and 200XL and were very simple to use. The 2650 uses an ink that is numbered as 220 and 220XL. The only complaint I have of the 2650 is the ink is always in short supply both on line and at the local stores. The Epson WF-2650 is so popular or some thing that the ink is very difficult to obtain. The 2650 also is not as simple to operate as the 310 and the 410. The 2650 has a built in FAX and Copy and Scanner and is also a printer. The 2650 has been difficult for me to learn, compared to the 310 and the 410. The 2650 has multiple paper settings and can do cloud printing and can do Wi-Fi. The 310 and 410 did not offer the cloud print 3 years ago and did not have to be set the same as the PC to work. The PC settings on the 310 and 410 would over ride the physical choice setting in the Printer Machine. However the 2650 require both the printer setting to be physically set to the same as the choice chosen by the user of the PC when attempting to print or copy or scan anything. WHICH IS A METHOD DESIGNED TO AVOID ANY MISTAKES WITH ANY PRNT OR SCAN OR COPY PROJECT. I do not appreciate it as much as some other corporation boss might that requires less mistakes. I like to just click and go with what I choose in the PC settings and with the 2650 you can not do so. Or I have not figured it all out as of yet. Either way, Epson is a great brand to have and use. My hat is off to the Epson Manufactures and Engineers in thanks for a well designed product line. Thanks.
