Somewhat disappointing

My previous MFC8670DN was an absolute work horse. It finally started giving up after 7 years of daily use. This new machine is not as sturdy and I have already had it jam several times when trying to scan docs from the tray. I scan a lot so this is not acceptable. I can't have my scanner destroy my originals.
As far as the print capabilities, it is faster than the old machine and has been good on ink consumption and clarity. My general complaint about Laser printers is that they are horrible for printing envelopes. I do quite a bit of that so I have to keep an ink jet in my office as well.

Possibly worst purchase ever

When the copies come out from the roller, they get stuck on the edge of the tray the rest on. I can get out prints/copies without sticking my hand in the 1 inch opening and hoping to reach the paper. It is ever worse with envelopes. I currently have some kind of line on all of my copies/scans that seems to be inside the machine. I only wish I had purchased insurance from the store I bought it from so I could return it. Do not buy a printer with a roller.

Brother printer works fine and easy set up BUT toner it came with lasted two MONTHs. Supposed to print for 1200 pages but best guess was 200 pages. I will discuss with local Office Depot.

Not as great as expected

Not easy to set up the wifi. AirPrint does not work always. Have to constantly reboot printer for AirPrint to work.

The printer works very bad with WIFI. It is needed a printer reboot everyday before it prints or scans. Otherwise, the printer os OFF Line.

RUNS GREAT, BUT NOISY

This was easy to set up with provided CD. Only gripe is that it sounds like jet plane taking off when printing. Great resolution and speed (28 ppm). No jams for the first 2 cases + of paper. Getting close to going thru the first toner cartridge (11.500 copies so far). Need to contact Support center regarding setting the scan to computer to get it up and running. Needs a larger catch tray after copying multiple copies. A decent addition to my HP Color unit.

Machine prints well. Good mileage from the toner cartridge, Inexpensive generic cartridge replacements. Automatic double sided printing good. Envelopes feed straight thru. Good in that it doesn't crease envelopes, but have to walk around the machine to retrieve the envelope. Scanning and scan program works well. Not using fax function so no opinion on fax.
I would recommend this to a friend!
