Great printer

Very nice machine. The only problem we had was
losing the Air Print connection to Apple devices.
The Brother Tech solved this by disabling a feature
in the printer which that something to do with Protocol 6 I believe.

Better Than Expected

This has been an amazing printer for us. We've had other printers that I've had to re-install (for whatever reason) after they have sat idol (asleep) for long periods of time, but with this printer, it has always responded instantly. It has always been ready for the task. Before we purchased this printer, we were able to compare the other printers we were interested in at one of our local stores, to have a hands on view, and found that this product was by far the most obvious choice, even though the others were very comparable. This is my first Brother purchase and has been one of my best purchases ever and would definitely recommend to everyone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

THIS MY SECOND BROTHERS MFC PRINTER. THE FIRST ON I HAD FOR 15 YEARS AND IT STILL FUNCTIONED WHEN I GAVE IT TO RELATIVE. THE SECOND ONE WAS A MFC 2740W. IT INSTALLED VERY EASILY INCLUDING THE WIRELESS SETUP.

Wi fi connection fails shortly after printing

I thought this was going to be the perfect printer. I've had HP ink jets that eat up ink like crazy. Since I mostly print black and white draft, I bought this one for its various features. One big problem: the Wi Fi connection between the computer and printer goes out shortly after you print something. Meaning if you want to print something again, even a few minutes later, you get a "printer not connected" notice. I browsed the Help sites for corrections to the problem, but have not found an adequate one. (Several other owners of this model have had the same problem.) So in the meantime, I've come up with 2 options. Bring the printer menu back up and enter all the Wi Fi pass codes, which takes forever, or my preferred one, which is turn the printer off and then back on when I want to print, and then print fast! This is VERY disappointing. If someone has a useful solution, post it somewhere! Or better yet, Brother, contact me and help me fix this!

Disappointed in the quality of print.

I am now sorry that I bought this model. My previous model served me well MFC-J615W.
The MFC-L2740DW quality of printing even though it is only Black and White is not as good as my MFC-J615W.
If I could trade this one in on another similar that has color and better print quality I would.
Probably going to give this one to my daughter and buy another Brother all purpose scanner, printer that is as good as the MFC-J615W.
Any recommendations?
