Good but

Only problem is too light of print for my needs (tax preparer) I did adjust settings and it did improve to a somewhat acceptable level but turned machine into an ink hog.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used Brother products, especially printers, in my personal life and in my business, prior to retirement. I donated a laser, phone and fax mfc printer to a nonprofit and it was still working when it was retired as we also needed a scanner bed on the machine. I highly recommend the Brother Printers, especially the black/white laser printers. The toner cartridges are reasonably priced and are available in more than one version and price... Also, I have had no problems with Brother software in the printer, unlike one of their competitors whose software was always a problem with dropping off the net. Go with your Brother...

Print quality decent, not great. Manual paper feed not very good at keeping paper straight as it passes through the printer.

Great Performance

This is a great little printer fax and copy machine. It was very easy to set up and run right from the box. I can send copy to this machine from anywhere I am at from my phone or Ipad. I found it very easy to fax multiple copies with very few or no problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as good as previous Brother printer

I'm unable to print a stack of labels without manually feeding them into the printer. The lift up cover on the printer feels like the hinge on the right is not installed corrected as it will fall back down to the glass if you don't ease it back down. This new printer is mostly plastic whereas the last printer that I had for the last 3 years was metal and I called it my "work horse" Not happy at all with this one...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Machine

So far this machine does everything I ask of it. The only drawback is the way you have to do envelopes, pop open the front and back of the machine then flick two green levers in back to do one at a time. My machine is close to the back of the counter and it is a minor issue to rotate it to achieve this. Other wise good machine for small office or home.

Bought it as a back-up machine to a Brother MFC8910. Used scan feature extensively and it worked without a hitch. Just wish it had a USB port to scan to.

This is my 4th Brother Laser Printer/All-in-One. Very dependable performance, easy to set up, easy to use and every feature is well documented in the instructions and online. I recommend Brother printers for the price and the performance.
