Very slow to print and scan and also very noisy compared to all-in-one Canon

This printer is a pain. Its connected to a network & it never maintains its settings. Connected PC's dissapear or show up in duplicates & we have to constantly reinstall drivers. I have followed the steps and instructions correctly, time and time again. Sometimes we have to power off and on to get it to show our computers. We have 2 brother printers and both are terrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thoughts on this MFC

Everything about this MFC works great except when you want to print an envelope. I use the MFC for work and print multiple envelopes. If I'd known how difficult printing envelopes is, I would not have gotten this MFC

Does not work with WiFi

When I purchase a printer, my hope is that when I press the print button, it would, well, print something.
Not so with this one, at least over WiFi. I can get it to work temporarily and intermittently if I re-install the drivers and reboot the printer. It's not like WiFi printing is a new concept either, so I am very disappointed with this.
I have tried everything from reinstalling the drivers to updating the firmware and even regression testing various alternative settings. Nothing has helped.
If this could be overcome, this would be a great printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Outstanding machine! Scans, prints, faxes BOTH SIDES ON A SCAN! Price very reasonable. Technical support is wonderful and lasts for the life of the product!

I thought the top was kinda loose and low quality, but then i realized you dont need to lift the cover to make a copy. just put it top slot, use touch screen on printer, Bam.
out comes a copy. so even though I think the lid seems physically flimsy, it means absolutely nothing on the quality of this product. I was almost fooled and didn't buy it. There is no better for this kind of moola.
This thing just works great! and quiet. Ink is cheap. Wow. Blah Blah Blah, all good.
