Devilishly Hard to Set Up

While there are many feature that I like it is really difficult to set up to use with WI-Fi. When you do get it set up it quits and you have to set it up all over again. If it is operating on one computer reliably, they try having a second computer access the printer. The original printer will not longer access it. It has all kind of problem with firewalls (you need to create an exception--that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fast and Trouble Free!

This printer/copier is so much faster than our old one. Set up for the double sided printing is so easy, and this is a feature that we use often! We also have to print tags for our inventory, and they are clear and sharp!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Best Printer I Have Ever Owned

This printer is, by far, the best printer I have ever owned. I am thoroughly impressed with its ease of use, intuitive features, responsiveness, and versatility. I have never owned a printer with such an impressive array of positive functions.

All-In-One

The printer is about 5 feet from my computer with wifi connection yet I experience frequent delays in printing. "Printer not Connected to the Internet" or "Printer Can't Be Found" messages often appear. Sometimes it prints immediately and other times it takes from 5-20 minutes. I have tried endlessly to correct this but no luck. Once the document is printed, the quality if fine. But that wait time is super annoying. Really not sure why this is occurring.

Only had the printer about a month, but anticipate that it will be as good for my uses as it's predecessor - a Brother MFC-5470 which served well for many years and pages. Selected this model and make because of good experiences with Brother printers previously, the duplex mode (saving paper) and reasonable operating costs.
Can't really tell if it's a good printer until several years hence, when it's had a chance to prove itself in service.

Great Design

I have 2 Brother printers; one is a HL-2270DW and this one - the MFC-L2740DW. Both are beautifully designed products, especially so the MFC. I marvel at its diversity and smooth operation. I have, however, encountered a nasty problem with both models in printing an envelope address. Both machines severely crease the envelopes at the front lower left hand corner and on the back, of course; the main defect arising with #10 envelopes. I have not determined why this occurs; but I sure would like to see this problem fixed. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Brother printers.

It's good now

Our initial machine had a quirk with the ADF, it would make a loud grinding noise and not feed. Reported the problem to customer service, they sent out a refurbished replacement machine that has worked flawlessly ever since.

Reliable, ease of use. The top cover is quite heavy and has a tendency to slam on the glass surface when scanning/ copying manually otherwise a good multi function machine
