Great when connected with cable

I bought this printer based on reviews. I have had a brother laser printer for years, but it was not wireless. I decided to upgrade to get a wireless laser all in one printer. I bought this one and set it up. It works great when I plug it in with the usb cable. When I try to use the wireless, the printer never wakes up to print. I will wake it up and it still will not print. It still says it is sleeping. I have tried uninstall/reinstall the software multiple times. It will work on initial wireless setup, but after it goes to sleep for a day or two, it won't work again. Good thing I can still use it with an attached cable. Works great when attached though.

not as good as my old "brother"

Definitely better than the HP I tried in between brothers but not as good as my old brother. Envelope feature of only one at a time is a pain. Actually slower than old one--prints faster but takes a long time to start.

Great B&W printer, scanner, and copier

This printer is quite a bit faster than my old multi function ink printer. It also prints and scans both sides of a document as well as printing to PDF. It's a bit noisy and the lights dim when printing, but the print quality is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lots of features

I finally upgraded from my old MFC-8500 workhorse of many years. Lots of great features; however, I continually have trouble with the scan feature on my Windows 10 computer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
