Great value

Great value, easy to set up on my home network, print quality is average. A little noisy when printing but that's no issue with me. I had one issue with it dropping from my network but the online troubleshooting process found the problem and fixed it with no intervention from me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great printer, but bad wireless connection

The printer has great printing quality but the wireless connection is lousy. Once I stop printing for a while I have to shutdown the printer and restart it so that it can connect to my computer or laptop. The rebooting is a bit of an inconvenience but other than that it's a great printer. WAY better than my last one. Its prints out sharp images. I did about 2 weeks of research before purchasing this printer, so I knew about the reboot thing and bought it anyway (I hoped it wouldn't happen to me), however, everyone else gave the same review "great printing quality and the ink lasts a really long time". Additionally, I don't have to worry about the ink drying out like with my previous printers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great features, but some problems

I love the duplex printing and scanning, but had networking and automatic document feeder problems. At first, it worked fine bc/ I had it hardwired into my router, but then I moved the router to another room. Had lots of problems in getting it to work wirelessly. Uninstalled and reinstalled it. Did everything I was supposed to do, but it wouldn't consistently. I couldn't even get it to connect wirelessly when the printer was right next to the router. Spent about 5 hours working on this. I am above average when it comes to computer literacy and setting up these kinds of things, so I don't think I was doing anything wrong. By the time I moved the router, I was no longer in the warranty period, otherwise I would have filed a claim.
I also had a horrible experience with streaks on my copies and scans. I did everything your website said to do: clean that wire thing near the drum, change the drum, change the toner cartridge. When none of that worked, I decided to clean the ADF. That removed almost all of the streaks. Why on earth does your website not suggest doing that when you have streaks? I spent a lot of money on a drum and toner. I couldn't get all of the streaks to go away. I followed all instructions on how to properly clean the ADF and talked to customer support who told me that I did everything I could. They offered to give me another one if I was still under the warranty, but it wasn't.
Before buying it, I carefully did my research and found that Brother had the highest reliability ratings. My own experience, however, does not support this. This was my first purchase of a brother product, and it might be my last. Never had so many problems with my printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reliable, works smoothly

This is my second Brother MFC and I am very happy with it. My only complaint is that the wireless setup was not at all intuitive and I just gave up and plugged it in hardwired. Maybe I'll give it another try someday when i'm not busy; that would likey be, "never."

Good Quality

Works great, and the quality of the copies and scans is better than expected. Had some issues getting it to connect wireless to my Mac computer. But called Brother tech support and with a little work we got it to connect. Has been working great now for several weeks.

When scanning a few documents, my printer pulls them through askew. Don't know if it's my individual printer or the design but documents scanned are not square on the page.
