Two manny errors not reliable made to sell inkand for future business profit, not durable.

Good Over all Printer

This printer replaced our churches copier. And it is awesome over all but it is not very good with pictures,ie copying home made bulitens and such. I knew we were going to be taking a hit on this based upon the reviews I had read but didn't think they would be that bad. Thats why i gave it a 4 and not a 5. It is stellar for everything else, I hardly notice the old copier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quiet little blk-white machine

This particular Brother crimps envelopes slightly but nowhere as bad as some early models. My prior model 8910W was terrific at not crimping envelopes, unfortunately the cost of a new drum after 3 years of moderate use marked the end of it's life. The control center software would not load; it said FAIL. So continue to use the old control center program without the ability to delete the earlier 8910 printer. So each time I want to scan, it defaults to the older unit so have to select the new printer in order to scan. Luckily I don't scan much. Seems to be no way to delete that unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Professional and reliable all in one machine

Easy setup with support of a representantive. Great feature set, with duplex scanning and printing. Print quality great. Only issue is the lack of a one-touch copy button and the need to access Brother Utilities to get to the scanning software. In each case it adds an unnecessary extra step.The Brother offered more than HP or Canon and toner cartridge prices are reasonable.

Always ready when I need it

This is a great home or small business printer. It is fast, wakes up quickly and produces exceptionally crisp and clear pages. The only negative I have found is that on two occasions during low humidity days it reports paper empty but opening and closing the tray solves this problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!
