Great features at a great price

I use just about every feature on this MFC. My old MFC had scanning issues with Windows 10 and it was time to upgrade after many years of faithful service. This MFC is a big improvement.
The double sided printing and double sided scanning are god sends. I do much more scanning and copying than printing, and this does a nice job. When I do print, I seldom want reams of single sided printing, so I love the hands off duplex.
The PC Fax app is a lot easier to use now. Actually the whole Control Center is vastly improved over what was available with my older unit. I would not go near it on the old one because it was so awful. It is still not pretty, but it gets the job done.
The APPS section is a little funky fo figure out, but worth it when you do. The scan to Word app blows my mind for OCR quality. The google drive destination is pretty awesome too.
The wireless printing from an android phone is a little quirky, but not a big deal for me.
I think it is pretty hard to beat at the price point.

Reliable, easy to install

I bought this printer 2 months ago, and have printed about 200 pages thus far. I've had ink jets up until now, and so far like the simplicity and function of this laser.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Has been a great printer

So far the printer has served me well. Would be helpful if you could completely disable sleep mode, as it sometimes causes me problems with AirPrint, but otherwise it's great! The AirPrint issue really could be addressed in an update, and I'm quite aware others have had this problem with AirPrint. I researched it a bit. Aside from that, I've had no issues.

My brother laser printer works fine. I have been very disappointed with my previous inkjets, constantly needing ink, then the printer breaks with light use, extremely aggravating. So far this printer has functioned beautifully. If there is longevity 3+ years then I would give it 5 stars. Look for my updated review in 3 years.

We don't take advantage of most of the features, we use it to make copies and send faxes. Works great for that.

Great for the price

I've used printers from the other three big brands for years, and tried this brother based on price and previous reviews. I've only had it for a few months, but so far no issues. The setup was easy, and the printer works well. The price per page is definitely better than my inkjets - which was very surprising to me. I thought laser toner would be more expensive than inkjets. The cloud features work very well and the touchscreen on the printer makes it quick to set up multiple email addresses to send scans to. They have a shortcut feature so each of my family only has to click two items to email themselves a scan once I set up their emails as shortcuts. I plan to get their color model when funds allow.
