Cheap product

The copier is slow, the fax machine doesn't work all the time, the display is really small, I am on my 3rd machine in 6 months. The Brother customer service gave me a different answer each time I called, and I spent hours on the phone with them. They sent me refurbished replacements when the first and second ones didn't work and did not extend the warranty. Chinsy machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Scan & Copy Speed

This Multi Function machine is my fifth in 13 years. Each machine purchased was in response to increased capacity or increased speed of scanning and copying. I was not familiar with Brother products when I purchased the first machine, but I now have great confidence and loyalty to Brother products. Supplies are readily available and reasonably priced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Real Workhorse

This machine provides all the functions needed in a small office/home office environment in a compact, easy-to-use package. The monochrome print and copy quality and speed is very good, as are the fax and color scanner capabilities. It all works flawlessly, at an attractive price. I particularly like the flexible duplexing capabilities for printing, copying and scanning. The wi-fi setup was very simple, and has functioned without a glitch, a very pleasant surprise in my experience. In several months of daily use, I have no complaints whatsoever - only good words for this machine.

The Brother does it all well and is a more reliable brand. At our school we went thru many printer brands and the Brother products were always superior by a big margin. The laser prints black text & makes copies very well and cartridges last long. Good pricing. That being said, there are a few issues that could be better. Figuring out how to configure the wifi was crazy-hard and I spent hours with tech support on that. And the online self help could be better. Regardless this is a quality product that works well and is reliable. Much better than the alternatives.

This is my second brother laser printer in 10 years. I appreciate the reliability and general ease of use. This version does two-sided copying, which is a huge improvement; however, it cannot take more than one piece of paper/envelope in the manual load drawer, nor does it have the option of multiple paper drawers.
