Caught Fire!

Caught fire like the others reviews. This microwave has worked fine over the years. It looks good; it has adequate space. It cooks a little slower since it's 950 watts. It's easy to use. Put in a mini bag of popcorn and I noticed the smell just before the MW turned off. The plastic inside the top of the MW was on fire and melting. Bag of popcorn came out unscathed -perfectly popped and edible - no burn marks or holes in the bag.

Was good until it wasn’t

I’ve had this microwave for 11 years. I’ve always loved it until last night. As I was warming a bowl of soup, the roof suddenly caught fire, like other reviewers said. Thankfully I was still in the kitchen when I smelled it burning. I wish there was a way to repair it because as I said, it's been a good microwave.

LOUD microwave oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced all of my kitchen appliances and was excited to finally have a microwave over my oven. Unfortunately, that is where the excitement ended. While the microwave heats well it is so loud I can hear it running throughout my entire condo. I thought I would get used to it but it's been over 4 months and it still seems excessively loud every time I use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waste of money!

I bought this unit in June 2012 and by Sept 2013 it was dead. I needed an inexpensive replacement for my other GE microwave that was almost identical. I had GE service come out and they told me that it was the main computer component and it would cost way more money to fix it than it's worth. This time I purchased a new microwave from another company and hope it lasts longer that the GE ones did!

EXHUAST FAN TOO LOUD

Extremely loud exhaust fan makes this microwave a complete failure! Understandable why it was so quickly taken off the market; how about a recall so that we can all get a better GE microwave?

Worked Great until

We have had this microwave for about a year. Last night, we went to use it (it had not been used all day) and noticed that the bottom of the Microwave inside and outside was very hot (over 110 degrees). We unplugged but wonder if there is a recall on this. Had we not noticed this, could this have caught on fire? I do not recommend this product due to this. Never noticed this before and wonder how long it is been hot?
