Good product for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had comparison shopped competitor models to replace a 10 year old GE over-the-range microwave and came back to this newer similar model for front venting, space, and controls and still best for our level of use. It has a lower wattage rating that the prior version, not a deterrent to its purchase, but just observation and hoping its performance is not impacted significantly. I already like the option of setting the time (the prior model required both time and date upon power outage), and straightforward single selection for operating times. The range lighting feature heats the glass turntable from below, however, and although this is not a safety concern yet, it does add to the unit's temperature (i.e. heating the food plus the added heat input from the light bulbs raises the concern the turning table glass may burn the user). This was not a concern in the prior model. Overall its installation, features, and performance for the cost is good+.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE make wonderful applicances

New Microwave needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A new microwave was purchased because the handle on my old microwave broke. GE Charges (on internet) for a new handle are excessive. It made better logic to purchase new microwave.
