GE make wonderful applicances

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this microwave about 2 months ago because the previous GE microwave door would not stay closed which was 12 years old. All our appliances are GE and we love them because they give you your money's worth.

New Microwave needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A new microwave was purchased because the handle on my old microwave broke. GE Charges (on internet) for a new handle are excessive. It made better logic to purchase new microwave.

Own several of these

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own several of these at various locations and so far they have been good purchases. The one I just replaced was 18 years old, still working but the door handle broke so I decided to replace the aging unit. Recent reviews are not favorable for this basic unit, so I am not optimistic that this one will be as durable, but I still hope to get at least 5 years of service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best microwave I have owned. If I have a complaints it is that I've had to reduce the time I usually cooked foods as they cook so quickly in this microwave. Easy to clean. The vent works very well.

Love my new microwave!

Love this microwave
I recently purchased this product to replace a 15 year old GE microwave. The only reason I was replacing the old one was because the bottom of the door had cracked due to exposure from heat from the large burner on the stove directly below the microwave. I originally bought another brand microwave, in the same price range, but when I got it home I discovered that it lacked many of the features of both the old and new GE ovens. I returned it and purchased the GE and installed it the next day. I am very pleased with the new GE microwave and would highly recommend it.

Not off to a good start!

Installed this microwave today (8/18/13). Turntable doesn't rotate. One reason for choosing GE was quality....You let me down GE!!!

Hole in the Wall

Previous GE Hotpoint microwave that came with the house lasted 11 years and we thought replacing with another GE product would be straight forward. Mounting process is completely different requiring quite a few more holes in our wall and upper cabinet. This took a great deal of time and will look terrible when this microwave has to be removed in the future. Don't know that our wall or cabinet could take another GE "upgrade" when the time comes to replace this one, if the holes are again in different spots.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
