Fridge was shortlived

We bought this fridge when we renovated our kitchen in the fall of 2017. We loved the features and design. HOWEVER, a few weeks ago we woke up to a dead fridge....compressor had died. Found out from the dealer and authorized repair shop that LG had a class action lawsuit against it regarding compressors that routinely and almost predictably die after 5-7 years. The repair cost was just too much so we opted to abandon LG entirely and purchased a different more dependable and recommended brand.

Pretty good for awhile

Bought this 6 years ago and had to replace compressor and cooling system after 3 years. Now fan is making loud noise when it runs. Took over a month to get the parts. Had to rent a frig in the mean time. The repair person HAS to be a certified LG agent. We had another LG years ago and had similar issues. Parts come from overseas in some cases.

French doors with double ice maker

We love this refrigerator- lots of space, 2 separate ice makers, well designed. We currently have a water leaking issue from the freezer area and we’re told by LG to empty contents completely and unplug to self defrost. Hoping this will solve the problem!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this fridge about 8 years ago and have loved it however, after 8 years the compressor has gone out and had to be replaced. LG paid to have it replaced and the fridge is back up and running. love this fridge for how big it is and how the doors open. Would have given 5 stars but things had to be fixed. Over all a great fridge to have.
